Oversell Shield

The guarantee

Vericog exists so you never sell the same watch twice. When a watch sells on one of your connected marketplaces, we automatically delist it everywhere else — usually in seconds. If that protection fails and the same watch sells again on another connected marketplace, Vericog pays the marketplace penalty, up to $500 per incident.

What counts as a covered incident

All of the following must be true:

• The watch was tracked in Vericog with listings on two or more of your connected marketplaces (eBay, Chrono24, or Shopify), and those listings were synced through Vericog.
• Your marketplace integrations were connected and healthy when the first sale occurred. Incidents are not covered if the affected integration had been disconnected, or had been in a visible error state for more than 24 hours before the oversell.
• The second sale happened after Vericog received the first sale and our auto-delist failed to remove the other listing in time.
• The marketplace actually assessed a penalty — for example, a cancellation defect fee, a seller-performance penalty, or a non-refunded commission on the canceled duplicate order.

What we pay

• The direct, documented marketplace penalty or fee resulting from canceling the duplicate sale — up to $500 per incident.
• Paid as a credit to your Vericog subscription or as a direct payment, your choice.

What isn't covered

• Listings for the same watch created or edited outside Vericog (we can't delist what we don't manage).
• Duplicate inventory records for the same physical watch inside your account.
• Sales completed off-marketplace (wire, in-person, DM deals) that Vericog was never told about.
• Anything beyond the marketplace penalty itself — lost goodwill, reviews, shipping costs, or the resale value of the watch.
• Incidents caused deliberately or fraudulently.

How to claim

1. Email [email protected] within 30 days of the incident.
2. Include both order references (the original sale and the duplicate) and documentation of the penalty the marketplace assessed.
3. We'll resolve every claim within 10 business days.

The fine print

Oversell Shield is a service guarantee from Vericog, LLC, not an insurance product. It applies to accounts on plans that include it, in good standing at the time of the incident. We may update these terms from time to time; changes never apply retroactively to incidents that occurred before the change. These terms are governed together with our Terms of Service.
